Hi,
I spent some time on your site this am and the extensive work you have carried out is wonderful. Your site is excellent and shows how large an area you have and are covering--my congratulations. I am sure many researchers feel very grateful as researching in Sri Lanka is not too easy.
I also feel it so important to preserve the headstone history of our ancestors and had a project in the Braes after one of my family stones began to fall over. I asked re a firm to right it but this is in a fairly isolated area so no local company to deal with it but later one came some distance from Aberdeen to care for 24 stones. When visiting in May I was updated by my contact re the estimate and by late August heard the work was finished. I shall see the results next year but better to wait a bit before trying for my other project.
I wonder if you have written a booklet in caring for headstones as the black fungus-algae soon obliterates the wording. Because I am the only one to care for a few family stones which are now not so readable, advice in this area would be helpful. I have used a soft brush and water but wondered if anything could be added to the water to deter future growth.
